HYPERTONIC SPRAY

BLOCKED NOSE

A blocked nose may have several different causes, for example :

  • Anatomical anomalies: these must be treated surgically
  • Mucosal anomalies: directly linked to rhinitis and sinusitis
  • Nasal obstruction resulting from surgery: a complication that usually requires further surgery or intensive lavage.

In the event of an established cold, or one that is not treated in time, and in cases of rhinitis or sinusitis, the mucosa is congested. MARIMER® hypertonic solution can be used to clear the mucosae and thus decongest the nose.

What exactly is a hypertonic solution ?

With a higher concentration of salts (2.2%) than an isotonic solution (0.9%), on contact with the nasal mucosa, a hypertonic solution will naturally provoke the secretion of water and thus dilute the viscous mucous that has accumulated on the mucosa.
