ROLE OF THE NASAL MUCOSA

The nasal mucosa protects us against external agressions.

The mucosa has a purifying role: the mucous that it secretes intercepts impurities, then, like a conveyor belt, the vibrating cilia evacuate the impurities and the polluted mucous to the pharynx and then the stomach.

The stomach and its acids then definitively eliminate these impurities.
