CAUSES OF DYSFUNCTION

When there are too many agressors or when the latter are too powerful, your mucosa can no longer defend your respiratory system and your body on its own.

The most common causes include :

  • Bacteria and viruses
  • Pollution (atmospheric, toxic fumes)
  • Dry atmospheres (electric heating, dry heat)
  • Passive or active smoking
  • Wintertime (low temperatures, humidity)

» Slowing of the mucociliary activity

» Inflammation of the mucosa
